Best in the League

The Saints have the best record in the NFL at 13-2. They take on the Carolina Panthers up next. For much of the season HBICF has been talking Superbowl. Who Dat Nation is almost there.Divisional crown. Homefield advantage. But just three more things to check off the list... first-round bye.NFC Champs. And the Superbowl.
If anyone would have placed a bet on the Saints heading deep into the playoffs. I would call them foolish because I called that long ago.

who wants the low down on what will prolly happen? So with only one game left and the St.Louis Rams chasing them at 12-3, who's up for a old time NFC West showdown from 2000?
If the road to the Superbowl goes through New Orleans and the Rams send us to Atlanta, then I might be genius.

BROWN, COVERED IN IT!

As Who Dat Nation, we can all be friends with the Cleveland Browns. Not only do they give us a much needed win whenever we play them, But they also beat the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

MIMOSAS!!!!

The Browns are 3-6-1 and Atlanta isn't much better at 4-5.

The way the Browns manhandled the Falcons on Sunday, proves that the Browns are looking to finally right the ship. The Browns have historically been a bad team but they keep fighting.

This season could either make or break the organization back into doomsday. The playoffs are a long shot. Here's what could potentially happen.... They could play spoiler or they could pick up some momentum starting with the next game.

A TOAST

to the entire Cleveland Browns team. The Falcons are a tough bunch to beat. They play aggressive and they are led by a player caller and cast-iron QB in Matt Ryan.

The Browns offense won the 3rd-down battle making 50% of attempts.  Running back Nick Chub carried most of the work load racking up 209 total yards on the ground and as a receiver.

It really is a doozy that the Browns momentum is cut by the bye week. During their week off, they should look ahead to straighten any kinks going into week 12.

KNEW IT! WHO DEY! BLEW IT!

That was easy! After a 37-point blowout victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, who just fired their Defensive Coordinator, Teryl Austin, the Saints should be looking forward to a rather lengthy post season run. Their performance in Paul Brown Stadium Sunday afternoon proved that they aren't looking at their opponents with the top-dog eye. Meaning that the Bengals were viewed as an underdog but they were viewed as a potential threat to interrupt the winning streak and that shiny new 8-1 record.

If the playoffs began today,
Right now the Saints are the projected # 2 seed while the 9-1 Rams hold the top spot  in the  NFC.

A Toast,

to Michael Thomas- The wide receiver left Paul Brown with two receiving TD's and 70-yards. Other teams view Thomas as a threat because of his versatility and his ability to catch on the run and the hard over the shoulders - down the hill catches.

to Mark Ingram- 13 attempts for 104 yards.  The longest being 33 yards. That's on the ground. He managed to score on 2nd and 5 at the Cincinnati 28 yd line in the second quarter.

to Marcus Williams-  had one of  2 interceptions. The safety out of Utah is proving to Saints coaches that he wants this job. His INT, racked up 78-yards.

to Eli Apple who had the other INT.

The entire Saints defense deserved a bottle of the high quality stuff too. Looking ahead to next week, because it doesn't get any easier. Why? Because the Philadelphia Eagles are looking to get back at .500. They sit in their NFC East Division at 4-5.

The last time these two teams met was back in 2015 and  Philadelphia sent the Saints packing with a 39-17 whooping. That was then. This is now. The Eagles  are the reigning Super Bowl Champs and they are looking to right things this upcoming week versus WHAT WILL PROBABLY BE THE NEXT SUPERBOWL CHAMPS.

Sorry Ali Montoya, maybe next time.

BACK INTO THE GROOVE

SADDLE UP

When I started this journey of sports writing, little did I know that I would be one of the most underrated and underpaid but most accurate analyst in the South. Boy, am I glad I have my own blog. I am now an official Sports writer under Tally C. Media.

I have covered the National Football League, the National Basketball League and horse racing.  While I have always been dedicated to the New Orleans Saints, even when  they haven't been dedicated to me. I know what it means to be a fan and I know what it means to be an analyst.  For this reason, I would much rather be an analyst and when I tell you I place the "anal" in analyst... That is just how accurate and serious I am about this business. I have always remained professional in covering the Saints and decided that I should continue to cover the Saints and expand to include the Cleveland Browns and some other topics in sports.

So this season, we welcome our Cleveland Fans to Hot Beer In A Champagne Flute.  We look forward to getting to know you all!  The Browns haven't had success in their years of existence but they never seem to quit or give in.

True Saints fans know the feeling.

Looking ahead to the 2018-2019 season. Lets look forward to keeping the Saints with a winning record and righting the ship in Cleveland.

All Aboard!!!!!!!

                                                                                          Cheers,
