BACK INTO THE GROOVE
SADDLE UP
When I started this journey of sports writing, little did I know that I would be one of the most underrated and underpaid but most accurate analyst in the South. Boy, am I glad I have my own blog. I am now an official Sports writer under Tally C. Media.
I have covered the National Football League, the National Basketball League and horse racing. While I have always been dedicated to the New Orleans Saints, even when they haven't been dedicated to me. I know what it means to be a fan and I know what it means to be an analyst. For this reason, I would much rather be an analyst and when I tell you I place the "anal" in analyst... That is just how accurate and serious I am about this business. I have always remained professional in covering the Saints and decided that I should continue to cover the Saints and expand to include the Cleveland Browns and some other topics in sports.
So this season, we welcome our Cleveland Fans to Hot Beer In A Champagne Flute. We look forward to getting to know you all! The Browns haven't had success in their years of existence but they never seem to quit or give in.
True Saints fans know the feeling.
Looking ahead to the 2018-2019 season. Lets look forward to keeping the Saints with a winning record and righting the ship in Cleveland.

THREE BRIGHT SPOTS OF THE NFL DRAFT
1. Leonard Fournette- DUH! We know him and what he's capable of doing on the ground as a rusher. Look for him to be a premiere back within the next two years in Jacksonville given things stay just as they are and free agency doesn't screw up everything. Might be the best pick in the first.
2. Cleveland Browns- With the Browns going straight defensive in the first round tells me that they're not afraid of free agency and they're not afraid to make a bid for a trade.DE Miles Garrett, the Aggie from Texas A&M went 1st overall and this could be the best pick of the draft but from previous history we know how the overall pick can turn out. Let's just hope the Browns can turn this this thing around this offseason.
3. Marshon Lattimore-Well, what can we say about the Saints first draft pick? It must be a reason we traded Brandon Cooks to the Patriots and opted for the Pats pick in the draft at
32 and Marshon Lattimore with our first pick. Who is he? Well he's a cornerback from Ohio State. He really impressed scouts at the combine. Let's hope Uncle Mickey got it right. He rarely ever gets it wrong. Just saying.

For one bartender sales are not going as usual and the lightness of the crowd proves it. She claims everyone is taking their time today. To prove that the crowds are not the usual drunkards, one woman walks up to make change out of a $20 bill and nothing else. Some women drank Mimosas, but no Mint Juleps. Must be saving that taste for the big one next month.
Even the betting queues are sketchy. Not much noise either just Brian Spencer, the Fairgrounds announcer and horse tracing expert calling races.
"You pick ya winner yet?" That's what one bystander asks out on the paddock. "Girvin, that's who wants to go to the Kentucky Derby." With all the confidence in the world, I went in bought a $5.00 cigar. "Girvin. That's what I went with...and that's who won. After the big win, I watched the owner's wife and her celebratory cheer out on the course with her blue and gold feathered hat. She made it to the winner's box before her husband.
So if you're looking for Girvin on May 6th, don't look for him anywhere in Girvin,Texas. He's got a prior engagement in Kentucky.

content for three hours of broadcast news, including radio news hits. I also
have the responsibility of operating graphics for traffic segments on the

severe weather and hazardous situations. I have experience as a fill-in
assignment editor for the morning news shift. I listen to scanners and make
beat calls as well as answer phone calls from our viewers. While a graduate assistant with Cox 4 Louisiana,
I worked with producers on a weekly high school football pregame show. I had
the opportunity to assist producers with preparing and writing sports content. While
a writer for the New Orleans FOX affiliate, I had the privilege of operating
graphics for a three hour morning news show using operating system Expressions
and Lyrica. While an undergraduate at Union University, I had the task of being a court side reporter for the NAIA Championship Lady Bulldogs Basketball team.
As a journalist, I have had the
privilege of covering topics ranging from food to sports. As a proud member of
the National Sports media Association, I pride myself as a Saints analyst during
the regular season. I provide expert pregame previews and post-game analysis.
The other sporting event I enjoy covering and attending is the Louisiana Derby.
With credentials from the New Orleans Fairgrounds, I have been privileged to
provide readers with interviews from the Grandstand, the Paddock and the
Winner’s Circle. In the future, I hope to cover the NFL and severe weather.
After years of relevant freelance experience, I believe I have developed enough

A TOAST AND TRIBUTE
TO THOSE WHO DESERVE
TO BE IN BLACK AND GOLD: Will Smith and Hokie Gajan Jr.

I could not and did not put anything on the site because I did not know what to say. When I got word of Will Smith's death (the day after) I was in shock. Honestly, this could have been prevented and would have if people would act humanely and we all did what was required of us as individuals.
If I could say anything to Will Smith today, I would sincerely apologize for the foolishness that crossed the both of our paths. (I promise you he would know what I meant). This tragedy was highly preventable and more than one of us is responsible. I would thank him for his contributions on the field and for bringing the first-ever Super Bowl Ring to the Crescent City.
I thank him for being a family man! As a matter of fact, "family" is what we had in common and how we met for the very first time. I sincerely apologize to Rocky and your family. As for the man that is charged with his murder, I apologize to you as well as this was an issue that could have been avoided. Two men, family oriented.... life interrupted.
Our Business Stinks
To our beloved Saints Broadcaster who got me through Sundays on the road. If I could not get television access, I knew Hokie Gajan had me covered. Just like garbage disposals, this news and sports business stinks... sometime! But when you counter in the fact that we as WHO DAT NATION have been through hell together, I realize how influential New Orleans Sports Media has been to my upbringing. I know this business can be a #buttphuck on some days. But then I realized that something so sweet and syrupy as the title of 44th World Champions of the National Football League can bring a region together and have so many sports media personalities just as deserving of the title as a player. I appreciate you for your originality and your modeling of New Orleans Saints commentary. I AM SO GRATEFUL THAT YOU EXPERIENCED THAT GLORIOUS DAY IN SAINTS HISTORY. I am so grateful that we briefly shared time together through.... Oh man!TWO SHOTS OF CROWN.... FOR THE BOTH OF YOU! #RESTINPEACE

BRIGHTER NOTE
If anyone told me that the Saints would be 7-9 at the end of this season, I would have kindly shared my anti-depressants. Now that it is the team's reality, some things have surfaced this season that could clearly be considered the cause of such a doozy of a season. Things such as team character issues and Coach Payton chasing down and benching guys. Plus, the future of Rob Ryan is up in the air. But amid all the frustration, there are some bright spots to this roller coaster of a season. What you ask? Well, take a look at the Packers and Saints highlights from week eight. Or how about the Saints versus Panthers in week nine. Better yet week 15 against the Chicago Bears. This team has had spurts of greatness, but we already knew that. But at the top of my list, has to be the endurance of Drew Brees.
And now that players are prepared to clean their lockers, Who Dat Nation should look forward to the future. First, rooting for our Pro Bowl selections, Jimmy Graham and Jahri Evans. Then, playing seek and find Saints players in Carnival parades. Soon thereafter, looking forward to the upcoming NFL Draft. And finally, the return of Jonathan Vilma.
Saints fans should put this season behind them and Count their Blessings. We could be starting Luke Mc Cown next season......Just a thought.
A final toast of the season,
To, Curtis Lofton for ranking 4th in the NFL in tackles this season. Lofton hasn't been given enough credit for his consistency on defense this year.
To, Junior Galette for sacking Josh McCown in the endzone for a safety.
To, Cameron Jordan, for sacking Josh McCown in the fourth bringing 3rd and long.
To, the Saints offensive line that kept Drew Brees intact for the most part this season. Breesus didn't miss a game this season due to injury.
